Located at the start and finish of the Tour du Mont-Blanc (TMB) on the southern flank of the Chamonix valley, the gîte des Méandres (formerly Tupilak) offers sun-drenched terraces with a fantastic view of the Mont-Blanc massif.
An authentic old eighteenth century farm totally renovated in 2009, it holds 24 people in large 2 to 6-bed rooms. The gîte has 2 dining rooms and 4 comfortable bathrooms.
You are free to do as you choose. You can use the kitchen to cook for yourself or you can take the meals provided (dinner: €17, breakfast: €9).

From the centre of the village of Les Houches, go towards the train station. When you get there, take the route de Coupeau on the right. The gîte is at number 1474, below the Christ Roi statue that protects the Chamonix Valley (1.5 km from the centre of Les Houches. 15 minutes walk from the station or 10 minutes with shortcuts).

Additional information

The owner is a climbing, canyoning and mountain guide and will be able to provide information on conditions on the mountains, itineraries and the main sites in the Chamonix Valley and the surroundings (Aiguille du Midi, Mer de glace, Brévent, The Aiguilles-Rouges Nature Reserve…).
