A long term project initiated by the " Communauté de Communes Pays du Mont-Blanc " in collaboration with the "Communauté de Communes de la Vallée de Chamonix Mont-Blanc", has permitted the creation of the " Association des gardiens de refuges et gîtes du Pays du Mont-Blanc " (Association of all mountain-huts and inns keepers within the Mont-Blanc region).
On Tuesday, October 13th, 2015, 30 mountains-huts keepers of the " Tour du Pays du Mont-Blanc " met at the " Communauté de Communes Pays du Mont Blanc " , in Passy, in order to participate in the first general meeting of their association. This meeting was held under the supervision of Mr Yann JACCAZ, Vice-President of the Communauté de Communes Pays du Mont-Blanc , in charge , and of his counterpart of the Vallée de Chamonix Mont-Blanc.
