History of the Building: The Auberge de Bionnassay was originally built as a farm at the end of the 18th century. It was converted into a restaurant and guest house in 1968 when the dormitory was created. A considerable improvement was made to the guesthouse in 1995 when 5 bedrooms were added.
Location: The Auberge is located 1320 metres above sea level at the foot of Bionnassay glacier. Bionnassay is an excellent location for embarking on hikes of varying degrees of difficulty: GR5, TMB, Tour du Pays du Mont-Blanc, Tour du Vorassay, Col du Tricot, Plan Glacier, Summit of Prarion and Bellevue. It's also a great location for climbing Mont-Blanc on the Saint Gervais side.
Services: The Auberge has a terrace with a scenic view and 3 eating rooms made mainly out of stone and wood. A bay window in one of the rooms gives you the opportunity to look at the animals in the barn (llama, donkey, rabbits etc)
In terms of accommodation, l'Auberge has a 20 bed dormitory and five different sized rooms (1 six bed room, 2 four bed rooms and 2 two bed rooms)

Getting there by train: SNCF station from Fayet, take the tramway to Mont-Blanc and get off at Col de Voza, then walk towards Bionnassay (25 minutes)
