The Refuge des Fonts, new refuge in 2026, lies in the heart of the superb Cirque des Fonts, in Sixt Fer à Cheval.
Accessible to everyone, a hike of approximately 1 hr 30 min leads you to the Refuge that overlooks a group of forty or so alpine pasture chalets.
This family refuge was first opened in 1926 and today offers a delightfully cosy spot to stop off for an enjoyable break to the soothing sound of the waterfalls. Nathalie and Benoit, the fourth generation of keepers, look forward to welcoming you to a warm and friendly atmosphere.
